Timnit Gebru
Timnit Gebru is a renowned computer scientist and AI ethics researcher known for her groundbreaking work in the field of artificial intelligence. She was born in Ethiopia and moved to the United States to pursue her education. Gebru holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, where she specialized in computer vision and deep learning.
Gebru has made significant contributions to the field of AI ethics, particularly in the areas of bias and fairness in machine learning algorithms. She has published numerous research papers on the subject and co-authored a widely cited paper on the dangers of large language models.
In addition to her research, Gebru is a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.
